A technique that reduces the target's Speed.
Final Fantasy Tactics description

Rend Speed (スピードブレイク, Supīdo Bureiku?, lit. Speed Break), also known as Speedbreak and Speed Break, is a recurring ability in the series. It is primarily found in games set in Ivalice and generally reduces one target's Speed or inflicting the Speed DOWN status.

Appearances Edit

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings Edit

Rend Speed is an enemy ability used by Sky Pirate and Sky Soldier. It lowers one foe's Speed.

Final Fantasy Tactics Edit

Rend Speed is an ability of the Knight class, learned for 250 JP. Its range depends on the equipped weapon's range and activates immediately upon selecting it. It lowers a target's speed by 2.

The success rate formula is:

50 + Physical Attack

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Edit

Reduces target's speed.

Speedbreak is an ability learned by the Soldier and Warrior classes for 200 AP from the Silver Sword. It inflicts the Speed DOWN status on the target if it connects, and has a range equal to the range of the user's equipped weapon.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift Edit
