FFXII Complete Red Mage

A completed Red Mage License Board.

Red Mage (赤魔戦士, Aka Masenshi?, lit. Red Warmage), is a License Board in Final Fantasy XII International. It is represented by the Zodiac Sign of Cancer.

Red Mages have the largest selection of Magic to choose from: some Black Magick, White Magick, Time Magick, and are the only Class that can use Arcane Magick. Their main weapon is the Mace, but this can be switched to a stronger Greatsword. Red Mages can equip Mystic Armor to improve their magic and Shields to improve their evasion.

However, they are unable to learn Last Stand and Shield Block augments. Also, they can only acquire one Swiftness augment.

The Red Mage has access to 142 licenses, which require 8,111 LP to unlock, as well as up to 14 additional licenses through summon licenses costing 915 LP, and 3 additional licenses costing 220 LP through quickening licenses.

In the original Japanese, the job is referred to as Red Warmage (赤魔戦士, Aka Masenshi?), likely to emphasize its additional melee capabilities and differentiate it further from the standard Red Mage which focuses more heavily on casting.
