The Red Mage (赤魔道士, Aka Madōshi?) is an asterisk that appears in Bravely Second: End Layer. It is obtained after defeating Fiore DeRosa.

The Red Mage is one of, if not the most versatile jobs. With both white and black magic, along with notable physical capabilities, a Red Mage is a jack-of-all-trades, unfortunately not excelling any of them. In addition, they have numerous support abilities that grant BP in various situations, including their innate ability Revenge.

Ability Level Class Cost Description
B/W Magic Lv 1 1 Command Enables the use of level 1 white magic and black magic: Cure, Aero, Fire, and Blizzard.
Note that these cannot be used without the appropriate scrolls.
B/W Magic Lv 2 2 Command Enables the use of level 2 white magic and black magic: Esuna, Raise, Thunder, and Aspir.
Note that these cannot be used without the appropriate scrolls.
Turn Tables 3 Support 1 slot Raise BP by one when evading an enemy attack.
B/W Magic Lv 3 4 Command Enables the use of level 3 white magic and black magic: Cura, Aerora, Fira, and Blizzara.
Note that these cannot be used without the appropriate scrolls.
BP Recovery 5 Support 1 slot Raise BP by one when sustaining a status ailment.
B/W Magic Lv 4 6 Command Enables the use of level 4 white magic and black magic: Curada, Esunaga, Thundara, and Drain.
Note that these cannot be used without the appropriate scrolls.
Revenge 7 Support 2 slots Have a 25% chance to gain 1 BP upon taking damage.
Damage from poison and freeze will not trigger this ability.
Revival 8 Support 1 slot Has a 75% chance to raise your BP by two when your HP falls below 20%.
Using abilities that consume your own HP will not trigger this effect.
MP Free in a Pinch 9 Support 1 slot Reduces MP cost for spells to zero when your HP is below 20%.
In the Red 10 Support 1 slot Raise damage dealt by magic spells when you have negative BP.
0 BP or more: No effect
-1 BP: x1.2 damage
-2 BP: x1.3 damage
-3 BP: x1.4 damage
-4 BP: x1.5 damage
Chainspell 11 Support 3 slots Spells cast will trigger twice.
*Has no effect on Wall or Mist spells.
