Red Cap in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates.

The Red Cap (レッドキャップ or レッドハット, Reddo Kyappu or Reddo Hatto?, lit. Red Cap or Hat), also known as Red Hat or Red Hood, is a recurring hat in the Final Fantasy series. The cap is a light helmet and often gives a variety of stat boosts, often related to Vitality and Stamina.

Description

The Red Cap is a powerful light helmet exclusive to the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary versions. It gives +8 Defense, +1 Weight, +10 Evasion, +4 Strength, +3 Agility, +2 Stamina, and increases max HP by 25%. It is found in the Whisperwind Cove. It can only be equipped by Red Mages and Red Wizards.

Final Fantasy IV[]

Hat resistant against fire.

Description

The Red Cap is Edward's strongest helmet in the Advance release. It gives +10 Stamina and resists Fire. It is found in the Cave of Trials.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[]

The Red Cap is a piece of equipment found in the Subterrane of the True Moon. It can be worn by various members of the party. It provides 10 Defense, 12 Magic Defense, 2% Evasion, 12% Magic Evasion, resistance to Fire damage, and boosts user's Stamina by 5.

Final Fantasy VI[]

Cap that provides a 25% bonus to maximum HP.

Description

The Red Cap is limited to only two, found in Kefka's Tower and Mt. Zozo. It gives +3 Speed, +2 Stamina, +4 Strength, and boosts max HP by 25%. Everyone but Umaro can equip it.

Final Fantasy IX[]

The Red Hat can be equipped by everyone but Steiner and Freya. It increases Fire damage while giving a +1 to Defense and +26 Magic Defense. It can be found in Mount Gulug and bought in Esto Gaza after the events in Desert Palace, and in Ipsen's Castle, for 3,000 gil. It teaches Cover and MP Attack.

Final Fantasy XI[]

Red Cap is head armor that provides 12 DEF. It can be equipped by level 36 Monk, White Mage, Red Mage, Thief, Paladin, Beastmaster, Bard, Dragoon, Summoner, Blue Mage, Corsair, Puppetmaster, and Dancer.

It can be bought for 20,000 - 20,800 gil from Chetak in Lower Jeuno (?-?), Orez-Ebrez in Windurst Waters (South), and Allard in Al Zahbi (J-7). It can also be bought for 125 Sparks of Eminence from Isakoth in Bastok Markets (E-11), Rolandienne in Southern San d'Oria (G-10), Fhelm Jobeizat in Windurst Woods (J-10), and Eternal Flame in Western Adoulin (H-11).

Final Fantasy XII[]

Red Cap is a mid-level light armor hat that provides +150 HP, +18 Magick Resist, and +3 Vitality. In the original version, it can be purchased from Rabanastre, Jahara, and Mt Bur-Omisace.

In the Zodiac versions, Red Cap can be bought in Eruyt Village and Mt Bur-Omisace for 2,500 gil, found as a treasure in Golmore Jungle (The Needlebrake) Paramina Rift (Head of the Silverflow) and Trial Mode Stage 60 (with Diamond Armlet), drops from Hellhound (1% chance), and is made in the bazaar for 2,480 gil after selling Coeurl Pelt x3, Quality Hide x2, and Dark Magicite x3. It can be equipped by the Machinist, Monk, Archer, and Shikari.

Final Fantasy XIV[]

The Red Hat Red Hat is a level 50 head armor. It is one of the initial equips for Red Mage Red Mages, acquired from the Red Attire Coffer Red Attire Coffer obtained from the quest Taking the Red Taking the Red. In the event it is lost, it can be replaced by speaking with a Calamity Salvager.

Final Fantasy Tactics[]

FFT Red Hood

Red Hood provides +24 HP and +8 MP. It is sold in many shops for 1,000 gil following the battle at Sand Rat Sietch. It can also be found as rare treasure at Lenalian Plateau with the Treasure Hunter ability.

Red Hat is a low-ranked headgear that can be used by any race and gender. It provides 13 defense, 5 magic, and 9 magic defense at level 1, while at level 30 it provides 53 defense, 20 magic, and 36 magic defense.

It also provides +10 Fire resistance, has one empty slot, and can be bought for 690 gil. It may also be created for 180 gil by using Silk, Red Fay Dust x3, and an Elemental Gem. When turned into a jewel, a level 3-9 Red Hat makes an Anti-Burn Stone 1, level 10-19 makes an Anti-Burn Stone 3, and level 20-30 makes an Anti-Burn Stone 6.

The Red Cap is a level 50 hat that increases Bravery by 189. It can be obtained by trading 7,730 gil, a Wizard's Hat, a Giant Feather, and a Transmogridust.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

Red Cap is a level 30 hat that provides +189 Bravery and +1% Bravery Boost on Dodge. It can be obtained by trading 23,500 gil, Wizard's Hat, and Fine Cloth.

Red Cap is a hat that provides 5 ATK, 5 DEF, 5 MAG, and 5 SPR. It can be crafted using 300 gil, x5 Spellsilks, x1 Abominable Wing, and x3 Corpse Flies, as a reward for finding and turning in the Earth Key from Phantom Forest, and from a Premium Bundle.
