History[]

Final Fantasy XIV (version 1.0)[]

Raya-O-Senna Legacy

Raya-O-Senna in version 1.0.

Raya-O-Senna went alone to investigate the stolen items from Lifemend Stump and to try to recover the Nirvana staff. Due to the mysterious nature of the thieves being a family of diremite, the Moogles dis not let her expose herself to possible risk. The elementals guided the adventurer to the place to help Raya-O-Senna recover the Nirvana in Mun-Tuy Cellars. Back with the staff, the elemental Oha-Sok that was sealed in Nirvana broke free and tried to attack the adventurer but Raya-O pacified him using white magic. Raya-O explained that recently there were many reports of elementals crazed with fear exhibiting an aggressiveness, but Stillglade Fane could only pacify the cases within Twelveswood. Raya-O invited the adventurer to help pacify the elementals throughout Eorzea and gave them a linkpearl and the Soul of the White Mage.[2]

Raya-O tried to justify the nations' need to strengthen their military power to Oha-Sok, but the elemental was not convinced and left.[3] Raya-O asked the adventurer to handle several cases related to the elemental's influence. Eventually, Oha-Sok revealed herself to be the elemental responsible for the Sixth Calamity and disappeared.[4] Raya-O believed that Oha-Sok still had hope for humanity but that her presence alone was enough to drive the elementals to sustain their anger, which would inevitably lead to catastrophe. To restore calm to the enraged elementals, Raya-O asked the adventurer to collect the garb of succor, the legendary artifacts used by the ancient white mages.[5] Oha-Sok's return to Twelveswood caused the elementals to intensify their fury, and Raya-O asked the adventurer to calm the elementals. Oha-Sok appeared on the scene to save the adventurer and calm the wrath of her kindred. Oha-Sok offered to stay by the adventurer's side by transforming herself into the final artifact, the Healer's Robe.[6]

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn[]

Raya-O-Senna and A-Ruhn-Senna

Raya-O-Senna and A-Ruhn-Senna at the Guardian Tree.

At the behest of a concerned E-Sumi-Yan, the Warrior of Light was sent to check on Raya-O and A-Ruhn, who prepared for their ritual to pacify the Guardian Tree at Evershade. With Kan-E occupied with her duties as Grand Company leader, E-Sumi occupied as teacher of Stillglade Fane, and O-App-Pesi occupied elsewhere, they lacked a third Padjal to complete the ritual. They were overwhelmed by monsters, the tree's resistance effort, but survive with the Warrior of Light's help. The ritual would need to be reattempted. The crystallized soul of A-Towa-Cant, a legendary Padjal who had left the Twelveswood to wander the world, appeared and bestowed upon the Warrior of Light the power of the White Mage.

In spite of A-Ruhn's proud protests, Raya-O resolved to train the Warrior of Light in the art of white magic, particularly with regard to tree pacification. The Warrior was sent around Eorzea to collect the ceremonial garb once worn by A-Towa-Cant. However, one of the artifacts was stolen, and Raya-O sent her Moogles to track the thieves to Redbelly Hive, where the Warrior of Light retrieved them.

Upon recovering all five artifacts, Raya-O realized that the final piece, the Healer's Robe, had lost its power, but there was no time to restore it before the greenwrath grew too great. Even A-Ruhn was willing to accept that the Warrior of Light's power alone would hopefully suffice.

As the three commenced the ceremony, they were again attacked by the minions of the Guardian Tree, but the soul of A-Towa-Cant manifested for long enough to help fend them off. After imparting to the siblings words of wisdom, he returned to the soul crystal and fully restored the power of the Healer's Robe.

Raya-O reconciled with A-Ruhn, admitting that both his proud sense of tradition and A-Towa's sense of freedom are much-needed perspectives for the Padjal.

FFXIV Seedseer Siblings bringing Y'shtola back

Kan-E-Senna, Raya-O-Senna, and A-Ruhn-Senna bringing Y'shtola back from the Lifestream.

At the Guardian Tree, Raya-O-Senna and A-Ruhn-Senna assisted Kan-E-Senna with extracting Y'shtola from the Lifestream following her use of forbidden magic in the aftermath of the bloody banquet.

Raya-O-Senna had become concerned over the Guardian Tree warning of a "taint". The last time such an event happened, it prompted A-Towa-Cant's legendary pilgrimage. They suggested seeking out a retainer that accompanied the late Seedseer for insight on how to deal with the problem. Said man had since passed on, but his granddaughter Eschiva still tended the grave of A-Towa-Cant and knew much of her grandfather's journey. She agreed to help with the situation, but showed her frustration with the other Seedseers' unwillingness to leave the Twelveswood to deal with the taint.

Accompanying the Warrior of Light, they traced the taint to an unsettling woman named Alaqa, who seemed intent on spreading befouled aether. Following a confrontation with her, they discovered a parcel of tainted flesh, which they brought to the Seedseers for advice. When they restated how they were duty-bound to remain in the Twelveswood, Eschiva lashed out at them for dithering in the face of a crisis. These words seemed to affect Raya-O-Senna, who began to wonder if it is time to make a journey outside the woods.

In the White Mage quest Healing Hands, Raya-O announced their decision to accompany Eschiva and the Warrior of Light to Dravania where Alaqa was last seen. From within the hunter's village at Tailfeather, they sensed the taint to be centered to the northwest in the caverns of Mourn. When Alaqa was confronted, she explained how her family was treated poorly due to their appearance and disclosed her plans to get revenge using the taint to animate a zombie dragon. When the undead dragon proved difficult to kill, Raya-O-Senna suggested purifying the taint with healing magic. Though it revived multiple times, their efforts cleansed the taint and allowed them to eliminate the zombie dragon. Alaqa surrendered in defeat at having her work destroyed.

Raya-O assured her that she could still make amends for her mistakes. The Auri made no resistance as she was brought back to Gridanian custody. With the taint removed, the Guardian Tree no longer stirred over it, and Raya-O understood better what she had to do to handle future threats to the Twelveswood. She promised to visit Alaqa's cell and try to reach out to the troubled woman.

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker[]

In the Tank role quests, Raya-O makes met with the Warrior of Light and Kan-E-Senna near Camp Tranquil. She reported that those in the camp had not seen the blasphemy Gleipnir directly, but feared its presence in the woods, especially after its poison was found in the bodies of dead porters. She lamented that her people were growing agitated from the creature's presence, and accused Raya-O of "standing idly by". As Kan-E addressed those in the camp, Raya-O reached out to A-Ruhn, who was working with the Ilsabardian contingent.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

Raya-O is a female Padjal with red hair tied up in pigtails, and green eyes. Like other Padjal, she has horns growing on her head. She wears a white robe and red skirt. Her weapon is a two-handed silver cudgel.

Personality[]

Raya-O-Senna is less sensitive to the elementals than other Padjal. However, she makes up for her lack with an unrivaled talent for white magic. Her mastery over cleansing and purging magicks eclipses Kan-E-Senna's own art, and Raya-O-Senna has disposed of many bandits and beastkin in her time. As might be expected, she has a spirited personality, and can be quite forceful when the mood is upon her. In her wake, one can reliably find Kupcha Kupa and Pukni Pakk, two Moogles who serve the Hearer with fierce loyalty, despite the endless barrage of taunting they are made to endure.[1]

In her sense of purpose, Raya-O-Senna is unyielding. However, it is also rumored she feels the heavy burden of being a Seedseer. As the middle child of the Senna family, Raya-O takes on the "big sister" role with A-Ruhn, as their eldest sister is usually occupied with running Gridania.

Gameplay[]

Battle[]

Raya-O fights in many of White Mage quests. She is a White Mage who can use many high-level white magic spells.
