A mysterious item. A stolen item, supposedly... "I almost ate this thing when I first found it. I thought it was a snack. Gwahahahaha!"

Final Fantasy IX description

The Rat Tail (ネズミの尻尾, Nezumi no Shippo?) is a recurring item in the Final Fantasy series. Although it may sound worthless, it can usually be exchanged for great rewards. This key item may be a reference to the Dragon's Tail Radish, a plant also known as the Rat's Tail Radish.
