Rapiers are recurring weapons in Final Fantasy. They are a specific type of narrow sword used for Fencing and magic users.

The Rapier weapon is a weak and common sword that can be used by Warriors, Red Mages, and Thieves. It may be purchased for 10 GP in Cornelia.

The left arm of the Inferno boss, Rahu, uses physical attacks and the Rapier special move.

Genesis Rhapsodos wields the crimson Rapier Sword, which actually resembles a broadsword, but has a Rapier-style hilt.

Rapiers are a type of sword, primarily used by Red Mages. They are distinct in that they inflict piercing damage, rather than slashing damage.

The actual Rapier itself appears as a generic mid-level Fencing blade that increases Parrying skill.

Larsa Ferrinas Solidor uses the Rapier Joyeuse as his main weapon.

Stella wields a Rapier while battling Noctis. Her Rapier may have some magical properties, as a winged crest forms behind her when she brandishes it. However, it is possible that the magic is simply a spell cast by Stella herself.

The Fencer, Elementalist, and Red Mage all employ Rapiers as their weapon of choice, and so does Ritz Malheur, although her Job can be changed after she joins the player's Clan.
