Though translated as "Rapid Fire," the ability is actually the recurring ability Barrage and not the usually fire-elemental ability.
Deals fire-attribute magic damage in a series of quick, repeat attacks.
Rapid Fire is a fire-elemental magic ability exclusive to the Black Mage garb. It sends fires to the enemy in a quick succession without drawback of the backflip that Lightning usually performs after casting five Fires reducing her damage output and exposing her to enemy's actions. It has ATB Cost of 15, Attack of 0.40, Stagger Power of D, and Stagger Time of E.
Rapid Fire I-IV are fire-elemental abilities. Rapid Fire I-III are abilities available to the Mom Bomb summon and Rapid Fire IV is exclusively available to the Lady Bomb summon. The abilities deal fire-elemental damage to a single enemy and hastens the user's next action.
Rapid Fire is a level two Special Move for bows. When Rapid Fire is used, the character will unleash a fiery arrow at a single enemy, dealing fire-elemental damage with 80% times the power of a normal attack. In addition, all allies' Hit Count is raised by 35% for the duration of the special move music. The condition to make Rapid Fire available for use is that the character must exploit the elemental or enemy family weaknesses ten times with physical attacks.
Rapid Fire is the level 3 offensive-type Special Move for bows. It allows the character to attack a single foe with five fire-based blasts. For the duration of the music, the critical rate of all allies is raised by 35%. Music bonuses will stack with other attribute bonuses.
Bartz's EX Burst is Spellblade - Dual Wield - Rapid Fire, based on a set-up of abilities from Final Fantasy V whose "Rapid Fire" is actually a differently translated Barrage ability. The attack launches eight strikes against the opponent, after which Bartz forms the Brave Blade and performs a devastating final blow.
