Raogrimm

Raogrimm is a Non-player character in Final Fantasy XI. A former member of the Mythril Musketeers, he has been deceased since before the Great Crystal War. In life, he was a great swordsman and Galkan talekeeper. Ten years prior to the Crystal War, he was part of the Multinational Expedition into the Northlands, and disappeared within Xarcabard valley along with Cornelia. No one knew what became of him.
The truth was that Ulrich, out of a grudge, attempted to kill Raogrimm in the valley away from the other expedition members. He resented Raogrimm's relationship with Cornelia and the talekeeper's attempts to establish peaceful relationships with the beastmen. But as Ulrich attempted the killing strike, Cornelia intercepted the attack and was fatally wounded. Ulrich, horrified at having slain Cornelia instead, fled the scene and left them for dead.
In shock over the betrayal, Raogrimm quickly succumbed to despair, pain, and anger. Guided by the dark influence of the black magicite, he traveled to the dark protocrystal in Uleguerand Range and made a pact with the Dark Divinity, gaining an army of demons and transforming into the Shadow Lord.
