The Ranger (狩人, Karyūdo?) is a job in Bravely Default. It is obtained after defeating Artemia Venus in battle, and obtaining the Ranger asterisk.

The Ranger class is primarily combat-oriented, and focuses on taking advantage of enemy weaknesses. Rangers have a high aptitude for bows, and are known for their strength, dexterity, and agility. Their abilities allow them to increase the accuracy of their hits. In addition, they can use abilities which affect different families of enemies. However, they have no ability which specifically affects humanoid enemies. Rangers typically do not use magic, and thus have little aptitude for it.

Calling back to the wilds they tame, Rangers have animal furs and themes as part of their dress, the males getting a wolf mask and tail and females receiving a rabbit mask and fox tail.
