Template:Sideicon Template:FFIII Enemies The Queen Scylla, also known as the Q.Scylla, is an enemy in Final Fantasy III. She is a rather dangerous enemy as she has high Attack power, but appears alone, making her less of a threat. Physical attacks work well enough in defeating her. In the DS version, she is far more difficult as she has access to Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga, as well as being able to attack twice in a single turn. The player should focus on keeping the party's HP up while any Ninjas constantly barrage the enemy with physical attacks. It should also be noted that Queen Scylla is vulnerable to Confuse, which completely halts her storm of attacks for a few turns. In the NES version, instant-death spells such as Warp and Mini are also effective in eliminating her.

Etymology

In Greek mythology, Scylla was a horrible sea monster with four eyes, six long necks equipped with grisly heads, each of which contained three rows of sharp teeth. Her body consisted of twelve tentacle-like legs and a cat's tail and with four to six dog-heads ringing her waist. She was one of the children of Phorcys and Ceto.
