Template:FFType0 Character Queen is a playable character in Final Fantasy Type-0, and one of the main characters of the same game. She is attributed the number 12, and is also the class president of Class Zero.

Appearance and Personality

Queen FF Type-0

No.12 Queen.

Queen is a young woman with long black hair clipped in a chestnut style and trademark glasses. As her name implies, she has a dignified position among her comrades due to her intelligence and strong sense of justice. She holds the position of a class leader in Class Zero and is often seen immersing herself in books; she is also very attentive during Kurasame's class, being one of the few students to have a proper study posture.

She has a practical, realistic and logical personality and is known for saying cruel things to her classmates. But in actuality, Queen does so in favor of her classmates; being one of the older students in the class, she constantly looks out for her classmates and cares deeply for them as a sister figure to the class. While she holds the position of a class leader, Ace appears to be the leader for Operation Apostle.

Why and how Queen was selected for the role was never explained nor stated, but it could be assumed that Ace was selected to prevent an overlapping of class roles. In other words, Queen was tasked with caring for the welfare of Class Zero whereas Ace's job was to lead the team to war and reclaim the country.

Young Nine and Queen

Queen as a child with Nine, from the Type-0 manga.

Queen is a young woman who is referred to as the class president of Class Zero, a group of students from the Peristylium Suzaku, the Magic Academy of the nation of Rubrum, that fight the invasion of Rubrum by the Milites Empire. As part of the resistance operation "Operation Apostle", she and her comrades seek to become the Agito, a messiah prophesied in ancient mythology to appear at the time of Finis, an apocalyptic calamity.

Type-0 AceQueen

Queen urging Ace to fight.

When Milites begins its attack on Rubrum, Queen finds Ace with a dying Izana, consoling the young man while telling him not to heal Izana as the man is beyond any recovery and he needs to reserve his strength for the group of Milites soldiers she predicts will arrive shortly. But in contradiction to her inaction at the time, when she later stands up to Machina for thinking they willingly left his brother to die while chiding him for acting like a hero, Queen reveals that she had remorse for Izana and that she would have saved him if he had suffered only minor injuries.

As she and her classmates are on the verge of death, Queen consoles a sobbing Cinque when she starts to break down in her fear of death.

In the alternate ending caused by Arecia removing the crystals from Oriense's history, Queen survives and is able to act more easygoing and relaxed as she forms a friendship with Cinque and Deuce. The trio were seen in their summer outfits, returning from a game of lacrosse while engaging in a girl chat. Queen mentions how she saw Ace with Mutsuki, and the three gossip about a possible romance between the two as they pass King, Trey, and Jack.

Spoilers end here.

Abilities and Equipment

In Battle

Queen attacking Final Fantasy Type 0

Queen in battle.

Queen wields a longsword in battle, and has great movement speed. Her basic attack, Longsword is a combination of slashes and lunges that finishes with a jumping attack.

All in all, Queen is perhaps the most balanced character among her comrades. While boosting an above average strength, she doesn't exactly excel in any area. She is very flexible in that she is able to adapt to any role in order to better assist her teammates. As such, she is suitable for beginners to pick up.

If equipped with her exclusive accessory Janus' Glasses, which protects from all element-based attacks, Queen can be revived once during a mission with a black aura around her body. In this state, Queen's fighting style becomes alike to that of a berserker, dashing around the field and dealing high damage. The downside to this ability is that it gives her the Kill Sight status, which makes it easy for an enemy to kill her in one hit.
