Prophet is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy X-2. He appears in the area of the Mi'ihen Highroad just before Mushroom Rock Road and serves as the leader of a group campaigning for the return of chocobos to the Highroad.

StoryEdit

In Final Fantasy X, the player could hire chocobos to ride anywhere along the Highroad, but in Final Fantasy X-2, the chocobos have largely been driven away due to the prowling of the Chocobo Eater fiend and the use of machina hovers as transportation.

Depending on the player's actions, or lack thereof, in Rin's Mi'ihen Highroad Mystery, Prophet's campaign may or may not be a success. If either Rikku, Chocobo Eater, Calli, or Rin is pinned as the culprit, then Prophet is over the moon because chocobos will return to the Highroad. If the mystery is not completed, then Prophet is disappointed. If Prophet is pinned as the culprit, then he and his assistant are put to work promoting machina and he becomes the Ex-Prophet.

If Prophet is pinned as the Mi'ihen Highroad Mystery culprit, the player will be unable to get Episode Complete for the area, and gets Episode Concluded instead.
