Template:See Also Potion is a brand of drinks named after the recurring healing item in the Final Fantasy series. It is produced by Suntory, a Japanese beverage company for the release of Final Fantasy XII, the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, and Dissidia Final Fantasy.

To commemorate the coming of Final Fantasy XII Square Enix and Suntory produced "Final Fantasy Potion"—an herb-drink containing such ingredients as royal jelly, propolis extract, elderberry, chamomile, sage, thyme, hyssop, fennel, marjoram, rosemary, basil, Melissa, carbonated water, caffeine, and artificial coloring. The drink had a unique taste; it was very sweet, but at the same time possessed a bitter herbal aftertaste. When poured, the drink had a light blue color.

The drinks became commercially available on March 7th, 2006 in Japan and came in 120 mL bottles. Suntory also released a Premium Set. The premium set included a specially-shaped bottle with one of six intricately-detailed bottle caps as well as including a collectible art card (of which there were 27 in total).

10th Anniversary Potion
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Square Enix and Suntory Limited produced a new Potion in a Final Fantasy VII theme. "Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Potion" was released September 13th, 2007, and was limited to 77,777 sets. It included a booklet called the Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Ultimania which detailed the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII and a bottle of unique design that measured nine inches in height.
The taste of the Potion was said to be inspired by Sephiroth and his "isolationism" and "beauty". It includes ingredients such as dolomite (to represent "the earth crust's energy"), royal jelly, and vitamin B1. The Potion was first shown at the Final Fantasy Party.

Released on October 23rd, 2007, the Final Fantasy VII Potion came out in specially designed soft drink cans and was itself a yellow vitamin soft drink. Each can (approx 12.3cm in length + 6.5cm in diameter) contained 350 ml of liquid and possessed an image of a popular character from the Final Fantasy VII Compilation.

On November 27th, 2007, Suntory and Square released yet another Final Fantasy VII Potion. This time the Potion still came in a can but the artwork this time around displayed a rendition of one of eight different Final Fantasy VII Compilation posters. Also included with the drink was one of eight mini Trading Arts Figures that personified a popular character from the series. Each figure was 4" in height and required assembly when obtained.
Dissidia Final Fantasy

To commemorate the release of Dissidia in December, Suntory and Square Enix released a new line of Dissidia themed Potions on December 9th, 2008. These feature sixteen label designs of character artwork and screenshots from the game. The product is divided between the Cosmos series; the grapefruit flavored drink and indicated by white colored cans, and the Chaos series; the bittersweet muscat flavored drink indicated by black colored cans. A can costs 191 yen.
The Cosmos drinks are light yellow-green in color, while the Chaos drinks are a luminous light purple. Interestingly, by mixing the two drinks, the coloration becomes clear, lending itself to the theme duality of order and discord in Dissidia.

A potion (from Latin potio "drink" derived from Greek poton "that which one drinks") is a consumable medicine or poison. In mythology and literature, a potion has magical properties and might be used to heal, bewitch or poison people.

- In Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- an employee in the Shinra Building is promoting a Potion, similar to the look of the Final Fantasy VII Potion. SOLDIER members and Shinra troops get the potion for free. Drinking it revitalizes Zack's HP, MP, AP, and grants the Reraise status effect.
- The Elixir in the achievement icon in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII resembles the Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Potion.
- In Dead Fantasy, Yuna attempts to revive Tifa with a bottle of Ether and Potion that are similar in detail to the Final Fantasy XII Premium Potion Bottles. One of the bottles is even displaying the Potion symbol on its tag.
- To coincide with the game's release, a new "potion-like" beverage was made for Final Fantasy XIII: the Elixir.
