The Poison Eagle is an enemy in the Dawn of Souls version, and all versions released thereon, of the original Final Fantasy. This monster is a reference to the Cockatrice recolors from Final Fantasy V Like their family members, they often appear in large groups; -"ra" spells are the best method of eradicating them quickly. Despite their name, Poison Eagles' weak physical attacks do not inflict Poison and it's likely that it's only named that because of her Final Fantasy V namesakes. They can be encountered on the Ice Cave 21-39 floors in the Whisperwind Cove.
The Poison Eagle is an orange palette swap of the Cockatrice.
