—Job menu description

The Pirate is an asterisk that appears in Bravely Second: End Layer. It is obtained after defeating Heyreddin Barbarossa.

The Pirate focuses on decreasing the stats of enemies while dealing high damage with an axe. Though they have high strength, their usefulness is hindered by low accuracy and the high MP costs of some of their Piracy abilities. Their innate ability is Adrenaline Rush.

A notable combination is using Swordmaster as a sub-command. The Swordmaster's level 10 ability Free Lunch negates the MP cost of all abilities, enabling the Pirate to use Amped Strike for free. They can also use the Swordmaster's counter moves well due to their good defenses and Provoke, which draws enemy fire. The Hawkeye skill Eagle Eye could be used to negate the low accuracy of axes.
