FFXIV Perfect Dodge

Shade Shift in Final Fantasy XIV.

Perfect Dodge (残影, Zankage?, lit. Remaining Shadow), also known as Shade Shift or Shadewalker, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy XI[]

Perfect Dodge is the special job ability for Thieves is available at level 1. The user cannot be hit by physical attacks for 30 seconds. It does not draw enmity. It can be recast every 1 hour.

Due to the use of this ability simply as a means to avoid damage and that being somewhat contrary to the Thief's normal role in a group, the developers have been speaking about possibly adding a second effect to Perfect Dodge in the future to make it more useful.
