Partisan (パルチザン, Paruchizan?), also known as Brandestoc, is a common recurring weapon in the series. It is usually a mid-ranked spear, which is a favorite of Dragoons. It normally provides no special effects, but boasts strength.

Description

The Partisan is a high-ranked spear used by Freelancers, Dragoons, and Gladiators. It can be bought in the Phantom Village for 10,200 gil or stolen from Ziggurat Gigas, and boosts an Attack of 59. It is the strongest buyable spear.

Description

The Partisan is mid-ranked spear, used only by Edgar and Mog. It can be bought in Jidoor in the World of Ruin for 13,000 gil or stolen from Test Rider. It has an attack power of 150, and enables the Runic command.

Final Fantasy VII

Description

Partisan is a low-ranked spear for Freya. It has an Attack of 25 and teaches the abilities High Tide and Lancer. It can be stolen from Zorn and bought at Cleyra, Lindblum, Dragon's Gate, Fossil Roo, Alexandria, and Treno for 1,600 gil.

Final Fantasy XI

It can be bought in Kazham or crafted through Synthesis. Its high quality version, obtainable only through crafting, has a damage of 65 and a delay of 403.

The Partisan is the third-weakest spear that requires 25 LP to use, costs 3,500 gil to buy at Rabanastre and Jahara, and has an Attack of 42. Spears are among the faster weapons with 2.14s charge and 1.2s action time, second only to daggers and ninja swords.

In the Zodiac versions, it now provides 34 Attack, 8 Evade, 28 CT, 4% combo rate, and requires the Spears 2 for 25 LP. It can be bought in Rabanastre, Bhujerba, and Dreadnought Leviathan for 2,300 gil, found as a treasure in Dreadnought Leviathan (Port Section). Partisan can be used by the Uhlan.

Description

The Partisan is a spear that can be equipped by Fang. It is a tier 1 weapon with the synthesized ability Physical/Magic Wall. It starts at level 1 with minimum physical Attack power of 6 and Magic power of 39.

It takes 33,000 EXP to max out at level 26 with 31 Physical and 189 Magic. It can be upgraded into the Rhomphaia with a Perovskite. It can be dismantled into Chipped Fang x13 and an Iron Shell when maxed out. The weapon can be bought in Up in Arms for 6,600 gil and found in Mah'habara Subterra.

Description

Partisan is a low-ranked spear that can be bought for 7,000 gil during Chapter 2 or poached from Bonesnatch. It can also be found as rare treasure at Free City of Bervenia with Treasure Hunter. It has an Attack of 11 and Weapon Defense of 10%.

Partisan is a mid-ranked spear that teaches Templar the ability Cheer. It has an Attack of 42. It can be bought from Sprohm for 7,500 gil and from any other town for 8,500 gil.

Etymology

A partisan is a type of polearm that was used in Europe during the Middle Ages. It consisted of a spearhead mounted on a long shaft (usually made of wood) with protrusions on the sides which aided the user in parrying sword thrusts.
