Parandus uses the same battle style as Grendel, but is more aggressive and powerful. Parandus uses Absolute Barrier to buff itself with Protect and Shell. It then uses Breath of Rancor to inflict Lightning with Pain, Fog, Deprotect and Deshell. After 3–5 minutes, Parandus starts using Séance and then Gloria Mundi to deal major damage.
Lightning should equip Ghostly and Preta Hood to reduce damage. The player should use wind-based attacks to stagger Parandus, and take the chance to use Heavy Slash or Beat Down to deal 5000–10,000+ damage.
Parandus is Latin future passive participle (gerundive) of parō ("I prepare").
- The Grendel and Parandus are based on the model of the Raspatil from Final Fantasy XIII-2. The major differences are that Raspatil has more arms and a flesh tail.
