The Panther is a beast/coeurl-type enemy from Final Fantasy XII. It is found in various areas of Golmore Jungle. Five Panthers are fought in the International Zodiac Job System Trial Mode at stage 14.

Being a great flesh-eater, with pale rippling-blue fur, and long whiskers extending from the corners of its mouth. These predators move in packs of two or three, dividing roles as do hunters with a far greater than animal intelligence. The breadth of their territory varies with the amount of prey available, and in those places where food is scarce, they increase their range so as to avoid starvation.

Panthers appear throughout the jungle, but are especially numerous at the entrance and nearby passages and respawn frequently, allowing large battle chains to be accumulated. The Coeurl Pelts they have to steal and drop fetch a decent price, so with a gambit on a character to steal from them before the other party members kill them, the player can easily acquire many pelts.
The Panthers can do mediocre damage and may attack in pairs or trios, but their damage is nothing Larsa's Hi-Potions cannot heal. When weak, Panthers will often flee, but this can be stopped by pressing to enter flee mode and resetting their AI, and making them stop running and attack again.
Panther is a mythological creature that resembles a big cat with a multicoloured hide. Under medieval belief, after feasting, the panther will sleep in a cave for three days, then roars emitting a sweet odor that draws in any creatures who smell it (the dragon being the only creature immune). They are eaten by the panther, and the cycle begins again.
