Orochi (おろち, Orochi?) is a recurring weapon in the series. It is generally a powerful ninja blade with various effects throughout each of its appearances.

Final Fantasy XII

Template:Sideicon The Orochi is the second-strongest ninja sword, being beaten by the Yagyu Darkblade. It provides +72 Attack, 20% Combo rate, is Dark elemental, and has a 10% chance to inflict Disable on hit. Ninja swords are among the fastest weapons with 1.97s charge and 1.2s action time; only daggers are faster. It can be bought from the Bazaar for 15,200 gil after selling Coeurl Whisker x2, Sickle-Blade x2, and Cancer Gem x3. It requires 45 LP and the Ninja Swords 2 license in order to equip.

In the Zodiac versions, the Orochi now provides 94 Attack, 18 Evade, and is now non-elemental. The weapon can be found inside a treasure pot inside the Lhusu Mines Staging Shaft. A stronger version called the Mesa (Orochi N in International) can now be obtained. The Orochi N can be bought from the bazaar after selling the Coeurl Whisker x2, Sickle-Blade x2, and Cancer Gem x3. Both weapons can only be equipped by the Shikari.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Template:Sideicon The Orochi is the second-strongest ninja blade in the PSP remake, being beaten out by the Moonsilk Blade. It provides +20 Attack, 5% Weapon Defense, and drains the target's HP when it hits. It can only be obtained via Melee for the PSP.
