Omega

Omega appears as a boss and card in the Chocobo series.

Appearance[]

Chocobo no Fushigina Dungeon[]

Omega appears as the last of the game's optional bosses, after Shinryu. It can be encountered on floor 99.

Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2[]

Omega is an optional boss on floor 24 of the Secret Dungeon.

Defeating Omega with a Bottle rewards Chocobo with the Omega Essence, needed to craft the strongest equipment. Curiously, Omega is vulnerable to the Blood Suck ability that can be forged into a set of claws through the use of a Vampire Essence. Claws with this ability have a random chance of reducing a targeted enemy to 1 HP, making it easier to capture their essence.

Omega also has a smaller variant called Komega (lit. Baby Omega), commonly found around floors 23 and 24. It has around 500 HP and rewards 2000 Exp upon defeat. Defeating it does not count towards completing the monster gallery.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales[]

In Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, Omega is one of the five Promo cards that can be obtained. In the Japanese and American versions, he must be downloaded from a download station. In the European version, the player simply has to enter the code Right, L, Y, Right, Down, Up on the Download Pop-Up Card screen.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon[]

Etymology[]

Omega (capital: Ω, lowercase: ω; Greek Ωμέγα) is the twenty-fourth and last letter of the Greek alphabet, representing a longer Latin "o" as well as the "oo" and "ou" IPA vowel clusters. In mathematics, it is synonymous with a set's end or limit. In physics, uppercase omega is the SI abbreviation for the ohm, a unit of electrical resistance.
