Page 1: ObservationsEdit

Being an amorph found in the ruins of arctic lands. The uncanny ichor of which it is composed is resistant to the cold, yet the slightest lick of flame will set it ablaze. Some effort has been made in the past to utilize this substance as a weapon, but a viable method of collection has yet to be devised. Quite recently, a similar substance was found in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea and research is under way to find a connection between the two.

How to FindEdit

To find the Oilings, the player must enter the Ward of the Sword King from the waystone, head south past the first pairs of Blood Gigases and past the hall leading to the Save Crystal. Just before the place where the Darkmare lurks, which is about in the middle of the long north-south hallway, the player can examine a niche on the west side. If the player faces the wall in a way that the camera attempts to go "inside" the wall, a new opening will suddenly appear, revealing a hidden stairway leading up. The player is best off casting Float on the party, as the final room at the hidden passage has a trap that is otherwise impossible to avoid.
