Obsidian Choker (黒のチョーカー, Kuro no Chōkā?, lit. Black Choker), also known as Black Choker, is a recurring accessory in the series. It has varying effects.

X-2 Black Choker is an accessory that prevents Confusion and provides +4 Defense and Magic Defense, while having a creature consume 2 Black Chokers will teach it Confuseproof. It can be dropped from Fly Eye (rare), stolen from Shantak (rare), Big Bully Cap (Normal and Oversoul), and Tomb (rare), bribed from Ochu, or as a prize for dispatching a level 5 chocobo to Thunder Plains.

Final Fantasy XIII-2Edit

XIII-2 Obsidian Choker is an accessory that gives the ability Resist Dispel +66%, the synthesis ability Debuff: Duration, and has a Capacity of 55. It can be bought from Chocolina (A Dying World -700 AF- onwards) for 650 gil, or found as a treasure in A Dying World. It sells for 325 gil.

Delicate Obsidian Choker is an accessory that gives the ability Resist Dispel +33%, the synthesis ability Debuff: Duration, and has a Capacity of 35. It can be bought from Chocolina (Academia -500 AF- onwards) for 325 gil, Obsidian Choker x1, Tear of Remorse x1, and Chocobo Plume x2. It sells for 162 gil.

Durable Obsidian Choker is an accessory that gives the ability Resist Dispel +100%, the synthesis ability Debuff: Duration, and has a Capacity of 75. It can be bought from Chocolina (Archylte Steppe -??? AF- after reaching Academia -500 AF-) for 1,300 gil, Obsidian Choker x1, and Millerite x1. It sells for 650 gil.
