Final Fantasy IX description

Oak Staff (オークスタッフ, Ōku Sutaffu?) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is often a low or mid-ranked staff.

Final Fantasy IX[]

The Oak Staff is a mid-ranked staff for Vivi that teaches Stop, Bio, and Drain. It has innate Slow status used through Add Status, and provides +23 Attack. It can be bought in Conde Petie, Black Mage Village, Alexandria, Treno, and Ipsen's Castle for 2,400 gil, stolen from Ralvuimago and Soulcage, and found through Chocograph 11, which the earliest the player can get it if they prioritize doing Chocobo Hot and Cold.

Final Fantasy XI[]

Oak Staff is a mid-level staff for mages, a step up from the Elm Staff and Dolphin Staff. A similar weapon is the Oak Pole, used for melee combat.

Final Fantasy XII[]

The Oak Staff is the weakest staff. In the PlayStation 2 version, it requires 15 LP to use, and provides 18 Attack and 8 Evasion. It is can be bought in Rabanastre, Nalbina Fortress, and Bhujerba for 400 gil. Staves are among the slower weapons to use for physical attacking.

In the Zodiac versions, it now provides 15 Attack, 8 Evade, +2 Magick Power, 34 CT, and requires the Staves 1 license for 15 LP. It can be bought in Rabanastre, Nalbina Fortress, and Barheim Passage for 450 gil, and found as a treasure at Barheim Passage (Op Sector 37). It can be equipped by the Black Mage job.
