NulTide, also known as Barwater, is a White Magic spell that protects against Water damage.

NulTide negates one Water-elemental attack or spell. Armors can be customized with SOS NulTide, which casts Nultide when the wearer is in critical status. Whenever Nultide is cast, a glowing blue ball will orbit around the person it is cast on.

Barwater is used by Red Mages, while White Mages have Barwatera (which is applied to the whole party). Rather than absorbing the next Water attack, it increases a player character's resistance to it.
