[edit] Final Fantasy

NulShock, also known as ALIT in the Famicom release and NulBolt in the Origins release, is a level 2 White Magic spell which reduces Lightning-elemental damage inflicted on all allies by half.

The spell can be bought at Pravoka and can be learnt by the White Mage, White Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Knight job classes. In the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary Edition releases it costs 8 MP to cast.

[edit] Final Fantasy X

NulShock negates one Lightning-elemental attack or spell. Armors can be customized with SOS NulShock, which casts NulShock when reaching critical HP.

[edit] Final Fantasy XI

Barthunder is used by Red Mages, while White Mages have Barthundara (which is applied to the whole party). Rather than absorbing the next Thunder attack, it increases a player character's resistance to it.
