Nightmare (ナイトメア, Naitomea?), also called Nitemare, is a recurring enemy in the series since its debut in the first game in the series. It generally takes the form of a dark horse, and tends to favor inflicting various status effects upon the player's party.
Nightmare is fought within the third floor of the Citadel of Trials, as well at the Waterfall Cavern, the first floor of Mirage Tower, the first floor of Flying Fortress, and the fourth floor of Past Chaos Shrine. They are no threat to the player, but are capable of inflicting the Blind status.
Nightmare is an enemy fought within the Henne Mines and are semi-powerful foes to fight. They have the ability to teleport and cannot be damaged while in mid-teleport, and have access to the Poison, Blind, and Slow spells. In addition, their most dangerous attack comes in the form of the powerful Dark spell.
Nitemares are fought within the Volcano and aren't a major threat.
Said to be a bringer of bad dreams, this little demon uses powerful magic, such as graviga and aspir. It also lowers its foe's P.Atk and P.Def with <Curse>.
