Nerrick (ネリク, Neriku^?) is a dwarf from the original Final Fantasy. He is attempting to create a canal which will allow the Warriors of Light to pass from Elfheim to Melmond by sea. When he runs into a large boulder, he realizes he will need explosives. The Light Warriors retrieve the explosives from Castle Cornelia and he is able to dislodge the boulder with them, allowing the heroes to sail out in search of the Four Fiends.
