Neeglyss Pond is a fishing spot in Final Fantasy XV located south of Alstor Slough in Duscae on the edge of the body of water. The player can meet Navyth Arlund here.
The King Catfish is a giant fish available here at night. Its optimal lure is the Invincible Iron Giant, but the Giant Needle 10,000: Gigantuar also works well.

There is a pick up spot in the grass near the pier contains a random lure. If the player is looking for a specific one, such as Ranker: Tonberry (otherwise a one-time pick up from the Malacchi Pond), one can saturate the inventory by purchasing 99 of the lures available in shops; when the player tries to pick up the treasure, they can't because their inventory for that lure is full. The player can then try the same pick up spot again straight away, and the treasure will be different.
There is also an Amethyst Bracelet on the small "peninsula" just north of the fishing spot. (Map)

Fishing Buddies is the first fishing quest and it requires Noctis to catch a Crag Barramundi that appears as a yellow dot on the fish radar. The following lures are especially suitable: Sweet Jamming: Custard, Tidal Might Leviathan, Bomber: Ice Bomb, Ranker Tonberry.
For completing the quest the player will get 1,500 EXP, and a Knife T. Tonberry lure. Catching the fish yields the Grilled Wild Barramundi recipe (+80 attack and magic, +500 health).
