Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Nashmeira's throne room features heavy tapestries that conceal the Empress from inquisitive eyes: she can only be heard addressing her visitors. While this appears to be proper court etiquette, it is also convenient for the Empress' own purposes. Posing as Aphmau, the court Puppetmaster, she is able to participate directly in her country's affairs without revealing her status. The alias is also a necessary cover designed to protect her, as she is still very young. She uses one of her automatons, Mnejing, to imitate her voice when an audience with the Empress is required.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Nashmeira is a young hume girl, stated to be "almost sixteen". She has blue eyes and blond hair, which she wears in braids behind her head. She has two similar outfits, a white one and a red one. The former is worn inside the palace, while the latter is worn outside. Both outfits consist of a short embroidered jacket, Oriental trousers, an ornate belt, and shoes with pointed, upturned toes. The main difference is that the red outfit includes a laced undershirt, while the white outfit includes a black top which leaves her stomach exposed.

Personality[]

Nashmeira's youth is apparent in her enthusiastic and sometimes rash behavior. Nevertheless, she cares deeply for those dear to her, as well as her country. The events of the Treasures of Aht Uhrgan storyline allow her to mature, gain confidence and a sense of responsibility, both as an individual and as a ruler.

Story[]

Nashmeira's mother, Empress Jubleel, was a skilled Puppetmaster and provided both of her children with their own Automatons: Ovjang for Nashmeira and Mnejing for Razfahd. However, the latter had no interest in studying the arts of the Puppetmaster, and thus Nashmeira inherited both Automatons. When she was six years old, her mother died, and she was sent to the Walahra Temple in Aht Urhgan Whitegate for upbringing. Her sojourn in the temple eventually enabled both Mnejing and Ovjang to speak upon her command, as Jubleel had based their behavioral patterns on the Gordeus, one of the artifacts contained within the temple.

At some point in time, Razfahd suffered a near-fatal accident which forced him to accept a transfusion of beastman blood, thus becoming a Blue Mage. His father considered that this rendered him unfit to rule and therefore named Nashmeira as his successor. After Jalzahn's death, Nashmeira was brought back to the palace and crowned, although Razfahd maintained a strong influence over her, using her youth and inexperience to manipulate her for his own ends, namely the reawakening of Alexander. However, Nashmeira was also genuinely concerned for the welfare of her country, which was suffering from repeated beastman raids. She created the Salaheem's Sentinels company to recruit mercenaries to defend her homeland, all the while attempting to investigate the causes of the attacks under the guise of Aphmau.

At the conclusion of the Treasures of Aht Uhrgan storyline, Nashmeira is officially re-crowned, this time in a public ceremony.
