The Mystic Sword (聖剣, Seiken?, lit. "Holy Sword") is a group of swords that the Masters fear in Final Fantasy Legend III. Masa left Cirrus in search for the Mystic Swords, it is also said that King Clamin is also looking for them as well. The swords' names are: Durend, Xcalibr, Masmune, and Emperor.
All four Mystic Swords possess a special property. The Mystic property, named after the Mystic Swords, causes double damage against certain bosses and undead enemies. They can harm even enemies who are strong against physical damage. This monster trait remains hidden from the player's view since there is no damaging enemy ability associated with this property. It inflicts double damage to Ghost-type monsters, Anubis-type beasts, Dahak, Jorgandr, Dwelg, Agron, Ballor, Sol, and Xagor.
