Template:Listen "Mt. Gulg" (グルグ火山, Gurugu Kazan?, lit. Gulg Volcano), originally known as "Gurgu Volcano" or "Mount Gulg"', is a prominent background theme in the original Final Fantasy. It is an iconic track of the series and has been referenced to in other games. It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

Template:Sideicon "Mt. Gulg" is the background theme for its eponymous location, as well as the Giant's Cave and the Cavern of Earth. It is the fifteenth track of the All Sounds of Final Fantasy I & II album.

"Mt. Gulg" was arranged by Nobuo Uematsu for the Wonderswan Color release, and this version has been used in all subsequent ports and remakes. It is the seventeenth track of the original soundtrack.

Final Fantasy IX

Template:Sideicon "Mount Gulug" is an arrangement of "Mount Gulg" by Nobuo Uematsu, and plays in Mount Gulug. It is the twenty-fifth track of the original soundtrack's third disc.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

Template:Sideicon The original "Mount Gulg" makes an appearance in this prequel to Dissidia as ""Mt. Gulg -original-" from FINAL FANTASY I", which is the fourth track of the soundtrack's first disc. It can be bought from the PP Catalog with 240 PP.

After being purchased, it can be selected by default in any battle including the Warrior of Light, Garland or the Chaos Shrine.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy

Template:Sideicon "Mount Gulg" appears in the Nintendo 3DS version as a bonus Field track from the Chaos Scores. In order to be played, It must first be found in a dark note.

In the iOS version, "Mount Gulg" can be downloaded as part of the Final Fantasy Field Music Basic Bundle, as well as the game's "Main Theme" and "Matoya's Cave".

"Mount Gulg" is a particular exception in the songs available, as all the other included songs are in their original form, but the "Mount Gulg" theme is the arrangement for the Wonderswan Color and PlayStation releases, because the original NES "Gurgu Volcano" was too short.[1]

"Mithril Mines" is an arrangement of "Mount Gulg" by Kenji Ito and plays at the eponymous track. It is the twenthieth track of the game's soundtrack album.

However, the background theme for the game's Vulcan-O Valley track is called "Gurgu Volcano", but is an arrangement of the Final Fantasy II "Battle Scene 2" theme. It is the twenty-fourth track of the game's soundtrack.
