You've got guts, cadet, but remember: some don't make it back alive, so make sure you're truly prepared.

Dominion Tribune who gives the mission

The Keziah Diversion (キザイア陽動作戦, Kizaia Yōdō Sakusen?) is the first Expert Trial and chronological first mission in Chapter 3 in Final Fantasy Type-0. It takes place on Pyr. XXV, 842, its initial level is 35 and the pool of participants is limited to four. After receiving the summoning permit and information about Triad Maneuvers from Kurasame, this mission can be accepted at a dominion tribune in the Entrance of Akademeia.

Briefing

After successfully capturing Togoreth Stronghold, Rubrum launches an offensive on the Militesi forces occupying Keziah. Central Command orders the cadets to provide assistance to the main dominion force invading the city. Class Zero must spend a squad of four to carry out diversionary tactics against the empire.

Strategy

Back Entrance

The cadets run into two Imperial Troopers and a Striker, which is best taken out first, as it fires missiles from afar. The two perished dominion legionaries on the ground have Knowing Tags. When redoing the mission it is random whether the bodies appear or not.

There is a Nymurod on the right side that should be taken down first. There are also two Imperial Troopers and two Shock Troopers. After clearing the area, the cadets move to the South Street.

There are more Imperial Troopers here alongside some Militesi Coeurls. After the initial set of enemies has been demolished, moving through the area has the cadets alerted on a presence of a Colossus commanding officer (Lieutenant Colonel Lindemann). The Colossus is accompanied by two Martinets, but considering it doesn't yield phantoma, it's best to concentrate on the Colossus, whose defeat completes the mission. The Martinets can be killed with a single Killsight, however, even if they have multiple HP bars. Trey and his Charge Shot from afar is good against the Colossus and to stay away from the Martinets. He can begin charging his shot before the Colossus even appears. The Colossus is also susceptible to Stop.

Pyr. XXV – The Keziah Diversion

Rubrum's new objective was the town of Keziah. Given the base's remote location, Central Command postulated Milites would be unable to easily dispatch reinforcements to assist the small squad charged with defending the town. In their eyes, capturing the city should be a cinch.

The commandant devised a strategy by which a cadet task force would divert the empire's primary defenses away from the base, creating an opening for the dominion legions to infiltrate and capture the town. However, the cadets went above and beyond the call of duty: not only did they diver the imperial troops, but they even went so far as to completely annihilate the imperial forces stationed at Keziah. The operation was a brilliant success.
