V

Mini Dragon is an enemy in Final Fantasy V. They always appear in groups of five and are a challenge to most players. They give the most Experience in World One and are considered super-enemies. They can be found in the forest near Istory.

A caught Mini Dragon will cast the powerful Holy spell when released.

Battle Edit

Their high defense and resistance stats dramatically reduce incoming damage from most weapons and spells available in the first world.

The player should focus on one dragon with powerful physical attacks and magic spells, healing every round.

Toad can also be used against the group, one just has to make sure not to cast it on Mini Dragons that have already changed into Toads.

If one party member is a Ninja, they can Throw two Flame/Water/Lightning Scrolls, which is considered the easiest way to deal with these dragons.

Another strategy is to equip the party with Flame Rings, making them immune to the Mini Dragons' attacks.

It is also possible, if one has a Blue Mage, to use Aqua Breath against them; it does a very good amount of damage to a group and should take it down in 2 to 3 castings.

Berserkers are also effective, since axes and hammer attacks ignore 3/4 of the target's defense stat.
