The Mindflayer, also known as the Sorcerer, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy.
They appear in several dungeons in the game, such as Tiamat's Fortress, the Ice Cave, and the Chaos Shrine. They are dangerous foes, because it has some special attacks. First, his physical attack, while doing only one point of damage, may cause instant death. They also have a high magical defense, making them hard to hit with magic, and to make things worse, they don't have any weaknesses. Physical attacks are the way to go, but watch out for Mind Blast, which, if you are unlucky, may hit your physical fighters, rendering your fleeing abilities next to none.
