They are not very difficult enemies to defeat if the player equips the party with Ice Helms and Flame Mails, and can be easily dispatched through the use of physical attacks. He is also weak against Lightning attacks.
Etymology
Mermen are mythical male equivalents and counterparts of mermaids, the legendary creatures who have the form of a male human from the waist up and are fish-like from the waist down, having scaly fish tails in place of legs.
