Medica II (メディカラ, Medikara?, lit. Medicara) is a recurring ability in the series. It is a group healing spell with affinity to either apply or remove status effects.


Final Fantasy XIVEdit

XIV Medica II is a magic ability, appearing as a Conjurer ability available at level 50. Medica II restores the HP of the user and all nearby party members in range with a potency of 200 and gives the targets a Regen effect with a potency of 50 for 30 seconds. The ability has a casting radius of 20 yalms and has a cast time of 3.5 seconds and a recast time of 3 seconds. Due to the spell’s Regen effect, Medica II is commonly used during end game content. However, due to its low healing potency, the spell is not as effective as Medica when healing large amounts of damage to the party. The ability can only be used by Conjurers and White Mages.

FFRK Medica II is one of Y'shtola's unique Soul Breaks tied to the robe Healer's Robe (XIV) which at the expense of one Soul Gauge segment removes all debuffs and restores a moderate amount of HP to all allies equal to 50% potency of a conventional white magic spell. If Y'shtola completes battles alive with Healer's Robe (XIV) equipped, she can eventually master Medica II without needing to be equipped with the armor in question to use it.
