"Matoya's Cave" is the eponymous theme of the dwelling place of Matoya, from the original Final Fantasy. It is actually the theme that plays whenever the party enters any cave, including the Dwarves' Cave. The theme is one of the most popular early tracks of the series.

"Matoya's Cave" was recorded as an instrumental rock tune (featuring a peculiar blues interlude performed by Kenichiro Fukui) for The Black Mages' second studio album.

"Matoya's Cave" is part of the Symphonic Suite Final Fantasy's "Scene III", performed by the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Katsuhisa Hattori on the 20th of May of 1994.
