A young woman who seems bold and independent, yet fears losing those around her. Maria and her brother Leon were separated when the Palamecian Empire attacked their hometown, and she worries after him constantly.

Maria is a Rebel Warrior, whose combat role is Offensive Magic.
Here we have one of the unsung heroines from the entire series; Maria comes from a game that does not get a lot of respect due to its awkwardness. It could be said, however, that Maria was the model for Rosa from Final Fantasy IV. She is a skilled bowyer with mastery of Black Magic, and so she will be doing most of her damage from the back row. She is also one of the game's tougher acquisitions, but is every bit worth the long trip to get her into the party.
Her default Soul Break is Bow Master which at the expense of one Soul Gauge segment deals ranged physical damage to one target equal to 210% damage potency of a conventional attack. The bow Artemis Bow (II) can grant Maria access to her Super Soul Break, Thunder XVI, which deals four spread bursts of magic lightning damage to all targets and permanently augments her Magic stat by 10 points upon mastery
