Mammon's attacks include Death Claws, which hits the whole pary for physical damage, and Blizzaja, which is a water-elemental magic attack that also hits the whole party. She also has the attack Stat Leech which will debuff the character's P.Atk, M.Atk, Def, and M.Def stats to the minimum (75%) all while buffing the same stats for herself up to max (150%) and also can use Dispel to rid the characters of buffs, sword magic, element-nulling effects, etc. Her last attack is her sin-based move, Avarice, which steals BP from the party if they have more than 0 BP.
Although the exact same as the original Mammon, the Japanese version has one difference: a special kind of Elixir can be stolen from her. This specific elixir has no description and is found underneath the compounding items when viewing one's inventory. It can still be used as a normal elixir, restoring one player's HP and MP to max, but what makes it different from the other is how much this elixir can be sold for. Due to this, this version of Mammon is no longer distributed by Square Enix, but can still be passed to other players through the StreetPass mechanic.
A more powerful version of Mammon can also be encountered in the form of Mammon [+]. In addition to the heavily increased stats and the Slow and Steady perk (Speed is buffed to max whenever she Defaults) that other [+] Nemeses get, she also gains the ability to Counter against physical attacks.
[view·edit·purge]Mammon is a concept as old as the Bible having to do with greed, avarice, and materialism in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, the concept is personified as a false god. Mammon is latter referred to in various literary works, including the Divine Comedy, as the demon that personifies the avarice, one of the seven deadly sins.
