Battle Edit

It is probably the least dangerous of the enemies in Darill's Tomb, as it is the only one that cannot inflict the Zombie status. Instead, they have a 33% chance of using Bad Breath on their second turn, inflicting one character with various status ailments. Their special attack Drool inflicts Sap on a party member. Fira spells work best to defeat them quickly.

Etymology Edit

"Malboro" may derive from the Japanese onomatopoeia boro, the sound of an upset stomach. Their name is most likely derived from the Latin and Greek words mal (meaning bad) and boros (meaning breath), a reference to their infamous attack. The name could also be a reference to Marlboro Cigarettes, since the creatures often spew horrid fumes.
