FFRK Machinist Icon

Machinist is an ability type in Final Fantasy Record Keeper, and part of the Other category.

MechanicsEdit

The Machinist school centers on afflicting enemies with status ailments at lower levels, with abilities that increase in power if the target is afflicted with the corresponding status already. At higher levels Machinist skills strike enemies with elemental blows and lower their resistance to elemental damage. All Machinist abilities are treated as ranged attacks, regardless of the user's equipped weapon.

Notable abilities in the Machinist school include: Bio Grenade, which deals poison damage to all enemies and can inflict Poison; Rapid Fire, which deals ten attacks to random targets; the "Offering" series of attacks that lower a target's elemental resistance; the "Snipe" series of attacks that hit a target for six hits of elemental damage; and the Rarity 6 ability Penalty Snipe.

Rarity 6Edit

Unlocking access to Rarity 6 Machinist abilities requires the individual character to be at Level 65 and have their second level cap broken, unlocking their Record Spheres. The player can then use Machinist Motes to unlock access to Rarity 6 Machinist. Note that only characters with innate access to Rarity 5 Machinist will have the Empowered Sphere that includes access to Rarity 6 Machinist; characters who must use their Record Spheres to access Rarity 5 have no Empowered Sphere for Machinist and cannot access Rarity 6.

Deal three physical attacks to all targets. Deals more damage for each debuff on the targets, up to three.
Power increases to 1.15, 1.25, and 1.35 for each debuff. Debuffs that increase power are: Poison, Silence, Paralyze, Confuse, Blind, Sleep, Berserk, Sap, Slow, and Stop
