Final Fantasy IV: The After YearsEdit

Final Fantasy VIEdit

While Machine is not an official type in the game, there are numerous mechanical enemies that share the attributes of Machine-type enemies. Most of them are creations of the Gestahlian Empire.

Final Fantasy VIIEdit

Machine is not strictly a type in Final Fantasy VII, however a tutorial on elements explains that Lightning elemental damage works well on "mechanical things". Mechanical things are also immune to Frog and Small, and are commonly immune to other statuses such as Poison.

An enemy that curiously does not follow the rules of mechanical things is Death Machine, who has no elemental affinities or status immunities. Other mechanic-looking enemies that do not count include Proud Clod, Guardian, the Bullmotor enemies, the Sword Dance enemies, the Golem enemies, and the Smogger enemies.

Final Fantasy XEdit

There are two types of machines: Machina which are small-sized machines mainly operated by the Al Bhed, and Mech which are large-sized machines operated mainly by Yevon. Most machina can be easily disposed of by using Steal on them.
