MP is an enemy in Final Fantasy VII. It is encountered in the Sector 1 Reactor, the opening location of the game, and a pair of them are actually the first enemies fought in the game.
They are very easy enemies to defeat due to the fact that they are one of the first enemies of the game. They use their only two attacks equally, neither being very powerful.
Due to their low stats, MPs can almost always be killed in one hit, whether you use normal attacks or magic.
In the full releases of the game, only Cloud appears during this fight, but in the 1996 Demo release, Barret and Aeris join him, despite Barret having proceeded already. The guards also appear differently before the battle, a much darker blue, with mask features less visible.
