The Lunar Eidolons are a group of powerful bosses in Final Fantasy IV. They appear in the game's GBA and PSP releases in the Lunar Ruins, and one each is fought at the end of a Lunar Trial. The Lunar Eidolons are stronger versions of Rydia's normal Eidolon, with the exception of Sylph, Mindflayer, Goblin, Chocobo, Cockatrice and Bomb. When defeated each Lunar Eidolon drops a Grimoire that allows the player to summon them into battle by using the Grimoire as an item. When a Lunar Eidolon is called into battle it does 9,999 non-elemental damage to all enemies, ignoring all defenses. Using a Grimoire opens up the Lunar Trial the player won upon defeating the Lunar Eidolon to be completed again.
