Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Loffrey is assigned to recruit the former leader of the Corpse Brigade, Wiegraf Folles, into the Knights Templar. Finding Wiegraf at his sister's grave, Wiegraf initially refuses Loffrey's offer. Loffrey convinces Wiegraf by telling him the Corpse Brigade and the Church of Glabados have the same goal, the removal of Ivalice's aristocracy.

The church sends Loffrey to negotiate with the Order of the Northern Sky following the Battle of Fort Besselat. He journeys to Eagrose Castle to meet with Dycedarg Beoulve, hoping he would accept the church's mediation to end the War of the Lions so that the church would gain more power. Dycedarg refuses, since his half-brother Ramza Beoulve has opened the sluice gate at Fort Besselat bringing the battle to a halt with both sides still strong. Loffrey mentions he knows about Dycedarg murdering Barbaneth Beoulve with Mossfungus poison.

Unaware that Dycedarg's brother Zalbaag is listening, Loffrey and Dycedarg argue, notifying Zalbaag that Dycedarg was the murderer. Loffrey, being part of the Lucavi plot, completes the other part of his mission by giving Dycedarg the Capricorn auracite, aware it would cause Dycedarg to become the demon Adrammelech. Loffrey leaves, leaving behind a chain reaction that would result in the deaths of both of Ramza's half-brothers.

Loffrey joins Knights Templar leader Folmarv and another Knight Templar, Cletienne Duroi, at St. Murond Temple, where they betray High Confessor Marcel Funebris. Folmarv demands the location of the portal to Necrohol of Mullonde, and Funebris admits it is in Orbonne Monastery. He begs for mercy, but the knights have other ideas. As Folmarv and Cletienne leave the room, Loffrey kills Funebris.

In the hallway they run into Ramza who has come to confront Folmarv. When Ramza relinquishes the Scriptures of Germonique, Loffrey picks them up and learns that a simple incantation opens the Mullonde portal. Folmarv, Loffrey and Cletienne attack, but are defeated and forced to flee.

The three Knights Templar venture to Orbonne Monastery with their prisoner, Alma Beoulve, to resurrect Ultima. In the Monastery Vaults Loffrey positions a contingent of knights on the fourth basement to keep Ramza away, and then joins Folmarv and Cletienne in the fifth basement. He opens the portal, allowing Folmarv and Cletienne to pass through. Ramza defeats the knights and rushes down to the fifth level to confront Loffrey. Loffrey fights back with more allies, but Ramza and his team fatally wound him. During the battle, Ramza declares he senses something evil about Loffrey, saying it is the same as with Celia and Lettie. Celia and Lettie were actually Ultima Demons, so Loffrey might also be one.

A dying Loffrey recites the incantation a second time for the spell, opening the portal to Necrohol of Mullonde. Once Ramza and Loffrey are on the other side, Loffrey seals the portal, preventing Ramza's return. He breathes his last and dies.

Spoilers end here.
