The following is a list of Jobs from Final Fantasy XI.

There are two types of job classes in Vana'diel. Basic jobs are available from the start of the game. One is chosen by the player when their character is created; this choice will decide what equipment the character starts with (e.g. mages may get a spell scroll; melees may get an extra piece of armor), but the character's job can be changed at any time in certain locations.

Advanced jobs are only available on the completion of certain quests. These quests only become available when the character reaches level 30 in some other job.

Players can change their job at any time by returning to their Mog House or speaking with a Nomad Moogle. These are only found in major cities or some minor cities, respectively. Unlike in other versions of the Job System, a player does not have a separate player level and job level. A player becomes whatever level his job level is. He may level each independently. Given the way the game works, most players have to level a number of jobs, if not all of them, in order to be useful or effective.
