FFVI Relm Arrowny Menu iOSRelm: I couldn't miss the chance to practice my drawing!
This article is in need of a few pictures. Perhaps you can help by uploading a picture of Unarmed (NES), Stardust Rod (PS/GBA), and Wyvern Lance (PS/GBA).
Userbox ff7-cloudCloud: I couldn't finish 'em. Looks like this's gonna get complicated.
The following tables are incomplete for one or more reasons. If you wish, please examine the table and add anything missing. Remove this notice upon completion.

Below is a list of all the weapons found in the game Final Fantasy II and its remakes.

Each weapon type has its own level of proficiency, or weapon level. A character's weapon level with a weapon type affects that weapon's abilities in a few ways; for one, it determines how many hits s/he can make with a weapon of that type, where the max amount of hits is equal to the corresponding weapon's level. It also multiplies the evasion percentage given from the weapon by (0.5 * [1 + level]). Weapon level experience is obtained by using the Attack command with the corresponding weapon equipped. The amount of proficiency experience gained is based on the number of times the Attack command is used in the battle plus the Rank of the enemy formation against the user's weapon level.

The character's Attack stat changes based on many factors, one of which includes weapon type (bow, unarmed, or swords/axes/spears/etc).

Swords Edit

FFII NES Sword Icon

Prior to the PS version, all swords gave a -50 penalty to intelligence and spirit. The exceptions are the Blood Sword, which gave a -100 penalty, and the Masamune, which has no penalty.

Drains target's HP as each hit deals 1/16 of the target's max HP. (Effect is reversed on undead). Despite having 0 Attack, it can still deal extra 'hidden' damage based on the user's Attack from other sources, e.g. Strength. This can be best seen when a character attacks themself with the Blood Sword; they will deal x damage, and heal for x damage, but their HP might still decrease.
