Under the empire's control, she was ordered to pilot a set of Magitek armor to invade the mining town of Narshe and seize the esper that had been found encased in ice within the mine there.

After acquiring the power of the Warring Triad in order to destroy the world, Kefka builds his own tower out of rubble and makes his ascension as a god. He then proceeds to drain the Warring Triad's power, smiting anyone who dares defy him with the Light of Judgement.

Although he sees through the farce, and the coin trick she performs for him, he still decides to keep his promise to help her.

After meeting Celes and being impressed by the way in which she tried to deceive him, he decided to help her and her friends in their efforts against the empire. His airship may have granted the group great mobility, but Kefka's eventual destruction of the world would also result in the unfortunate loss of the Blackjack.

	A gambler from another world where magic and espers once lived. The destruction of the world also resulted in the destruction of Setzer's beloved airship, the Blackjack. Phased by these events, he turns to alcohol to avoid the harsh reality until he is reunited with Celes, who manages to convince him to rejoin their cause. Together they visit the tomb of Setzer's close friend Darill, where they dig out the remains of her old airship, the Falcon, in hopes of using it as transport. Soaring the skies with Celes and her friends once again, they travel around the world looking for the rest of their scattered comrades.

	A feral child from another world where magic and espers once lived. Gauwas abandoned by his father as a babe, and consequently grew alongside the beasts of the region known as the Veldt. Although he is not adept with words, he tries to communicate his emotions through gestures and physical motions. Eventually he runs into Sabin and his friends, who are en route to Narshe, and demands food from them. After Sabin gives him dried meat to earn his trust, Gau joins the party to show his gratitude. In turn, this ultimately results in him permanently joining the Returners on their efforts against the empire.

	A feral child from another world where magic and espers once lived. Gau joined Sabin and his comrades in their fight against the empire to repay them for the dried meat they had given him. Soon afterwards the party learns that Gau has the superhuman ability to learn attacks used by the monsters of the Veldt--a unique skill said to have been of great help when facing off against the empire.

Gau joined Sabin and Cyan's journey to repay them for the dried meat he had received from them, and ultimately became a permanent member of their group. He decided to return to the Veldt after Kefka's destruction of the world in order to train for the day in which he would have to fight alongside his friends once again. Although Sabin manages to schedule a reunion between Gau and his estranged father later on, the man does not recognize the feral boy and his own child. Despite the results being far from ideal, Gau was content with the fact that his father was still alive nevertheless.
